Style Editor's Fall Shoes and Accessory Mini Haul

I am ready to ditch the heat and transition to fall weather ASAP! With this in mind, I have been taking a few steps into curating my fall 2025 wardrobe piece by piece. Usually, I prioritize buying clothing items first, and I often forget to incorporate new lines of shoes and accessories that will complement my wardrobe. Side note: I have a substantial collection of shoes, but I only wear three pairs in my daily rotation because I prioritize comfort for my day-to-day lifestyle. Come with me as I show you all my new fall picks. The goal in mind for selecting each piece is to strike a balance between elevated style and practicality.

Timberland Boots

Puma Speedcats

Puma is another shoe I have not worn in a very long time; however, I really like the essence of the brand. Puma's aesthetic is sporty, with an '80s core elevation. I had recently gone to the mall with my little brother and saw the brown pair of Speed Cats, and I was instantly in love with the color! I instantly thought about how many outfits I could easily pair with these shoes. The real test was to see how they fit. To my surprise, the fit of these shoes was very comfortable and had a slightly wider fit. I got a half size up for better comfort.

Doc Martens Buzz Hi

I have been wanting to get into Doc Martens for a while! I love seeing other people wear them, but every time I saw the shoe in person at the store, I realized that this brand has the chunkiest shoes. I am not opposed to chunky shoes, but they definitely appear larger when displayed on a mannequin instead of on a person's foot. My perception changed when I kept seeing ads for the new Doc Martens Buzz Hi boots on my TikTok feed. These shoes caught my eye instantly. They look so practical, cute with their chunky platform, and look more elevated compared to the other styles of Docs I have seen thus far. I knew that for a shoe like this, I had to see them in person and try them on. None of the journeys I took had these boots in stock yet; therefore, I knew I would have to make the drive to Lenox to visit the Doc Martens store. Fun fact: Lennox Square Small is home to the only Doc Martens store in Georgia.

I tried on the shoes at the Doc Martens store, and initially, the store associate, Dominique, suggested that I go a size down because the boot is wider. A size down did not work for me as they felt too tight. Since they didn't have half sizes, I tried my original shoe size, which is a size 8, and they fit perfectly, with still having toe room. I loved this boot on and off, so much so that I got two pairs- black and green. These boots are an elevated casual shoe that pairs well with almost anything. The sales associate informed me that these boots, in particular, should not cause me blisters, as the leather is thicker than in their other styles. I was glad he reassured me on this because I had heard mixed feedback that Docs have to be broken-in to become comfortable and will give you blisters in the process, which I am not a fan of. Fun fact: When you sign up for text message alerts with Doc Martens, you get a free pair of socks. I got these thick knee-high cream socks with the fall and winter weather in mind.

*Disclaimer: One of my boots, the black pair that I just bought, had a stitching defect in the front. It looks like the seam was originally in tack with glue, but it was coming loose. The store manager, Shalondria, heard my concern about this and ensured she reserved a replacement pair, so I did not have to rush to return them and mitigate the issue. I really appreciated her willingness to help. Moving forward, I will be on the lookout to see if the stitching becomes a persistent issue with day-to-day wear.

Coach Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 39

I have been eyeing this bag for a while! My TikTok feed is responsible for putting me onto this bag. I love the elegant look of this bag, especially that it's made of genuine leather. The Brooklyn Shoulder Bag is available in two sizes: 28, which is small, and 30, which is oversized. I mainly wear smaller bags, so I had to get the oversized one. This bag is so elevated that I can picture wearing it to work or to spruce up a very casual basic outfit. Although I like the idea of putting my laptop in this bag (I have a Microsoft Surface, which is thin), I don't want to get into the habit of wearing my purse like that. Moreover, I had initially decided to get this bag in brown leather, but the more I saw it in person, the more it just fell flat. I decided to get the Loved leather in Silver/Black/Brown, and I am genuinely in love with it. Sometimes, I catch myself staring at and thanking God for allowing me to have this bag. I purchased this bag at Macy's, and it came with a charm on it already. Also, at Macy's right now, if you buy a Coach bag, you $100 in Macy's cash. Earning the Macy's cash worked out perfectly, because I already planned to restock on my Burberry Her perfume.
